The Winston Salem State Rams' historic march culminates in defeat to Wayne State (Mi), 21-7, in the NCAA DII semi-finals.
WSSU is the only HBCU to win a playoff game in 2011; has gone deeper in the NCAA playoffs than any HBCU since D-IAA champion, FAMU, in 1978; and has been named Sheridan's 2011 Black College National Champion.
